Award certificates and badges not only provide incentives for children and adults alike, they also set out a framework for the lessons and define individual targets.

We use elements the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NTPS) awards scheme to give a balanced progression from complete beginners through to competent swimmers. Each swimmer is assessed at the end of every school term to see if they have achieved the necessary standard for swimming and water skills awards, and also distance awards.
