Welcome to Heather Bradbury Swimming
recognition as a Centre of Excellence by the Swimming Teachers Association. Heather received the STA’s Henry Pike Award in 2002 for her contribution to the work of the STA throughout the year.
We operate a comprehensive award structure which includes the ASA National Teaching Plan for Swimming with regular assessment of each swimmer’s progress to provide constructive feedback to the swimmer and to their parents.
We operate at a number of locations in the Solihull area. Click here for further details and pool locations or here to see details of lesson times and term dates.
We specialise in teaching children to swim and developing their strokes to an advanced level and we have recently introduced Life Saving lessons, which is proving extremely popular and can lead to a nationally recognised award which could enable pupils to seek employment in this field at a later date.
Our elite group has also been a great success enabling children to learn new skills alongside their normal swimming such as water polo, diving skills, swim stroke and pre-competition awards and to maintain their interest in swimming whilst keeping up their fitness levels.
Adults are not being left out. We have thriving lessons taking place on Wednesdays from complete beginners to the advanced groups.
We have recently become a registered swim school with the ASA
Heather Bradbury Swimming is a friendly, professional independent swim school operating in the West Midlands. We provide a full range of instruction from pre-school children to our elite group. Lessons can be provided on an individual basis or in small groups. We also run courses for swimming instructors and pool life guards and can organise seminars and CPD for swim schools, leisure centres or individual teachers.
All our teachers are qualified to nationally recognised standards in swimming instruction and poolside rescue. This fact has helped us to achieve national

IMPORTANT NOTICE - WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS

We are experiencing the worst Winter weather conditions for some years, and they seem set to stay with us for a while yet.

During this time we will do our best to keep lessons open, and we will notify swimmers by text message if their lesson is cancelled due to pool closure, we will always try to give you as much notice as possible. Please make sure that we have your correct mobile number so we can be sure you get the message. We will also try to keep the message on this page up-to-date so you can always check back here for the latest information.

If we haven’t told you that your lesson has been cancelled, and if the scrolling message above doesn’t say that  the pool is closed, then you can assume that your lesson will be going ahead as normal.

When travelling to and from your lessons, please take extra care on the roads, pavements, car parks etc. We can not take responsibility for any accident or injury you suffer as a result of your journey.
